COACH.ME is a coach that goes everywhere with you, helping you achieve any goal, form any habit, or build any expertise.  You search for a skill, goal, habit etc. and you can pick from a variety of coaches to help work your way to success (for a fee). Although I have yet to personally try it, this was recommended by a friend who swears by it.  If you’re looking for help to achieve a goal in the new year, give it a shot!

I have been using this for a while in both Excel and Outlook on my computer and it’s a cool little shortcut to save you some time.  Do you have phrases you often type? One of mine is closing out an email I’ll typically write “Let me know if you have any questions”.  Instead of typing that on the majority of emails, I have set up a shortcut where I type in “q11” and after I hit space, it is automatically replaced with the entire sentence.  I have many such shortcuts set up and I smirk every time I use one.

In outlook you can find this under mail and spelling and Autocorrect.

Then you simply type in a unique shortcut and what you want the computer to output.  Voila! time savings just for you.

I just finished this book and it’s outstanding.

“It starts with a fundamental question: Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their success over and over?

START WITH WHY shows that the leaders who’ve had the greatest influence in the world all think, act, and communicate the same way — and it’s the opposite of what everyone else does. Sinek calls this powerful idea The Golden Circle, and it provides a framework upon which organizations can be built, movements can be led, and people can be inspired. And it all starts with WHY.”

His TED talk on the same subject is also worth watching.
